Research

Let me start off by saying, I am not a fan of fad diets. I have heard of Atkins, Paleo, Keto and the South Beach diets. None of them have ever convinced me to follow the pack. I say this, because I know there are a lot of us…both men and women…looking for that magical diet that is going to work. I already found what works for me. Well, kind of. Two and a half years ago, I lost sixty pounds in eight months eating nothing but whole foods. Sure, there was a cheat meal here and there, but for the majority of my meals, it was fresh produce, fruit and meat.

This time around, I decided to go back and research some more about foods and diet all together. I started withWhat the Health“, on Netflix. It was a very informative documentary about foods. I was shocked and surprised by some of the information, and not at all stirred by the other parts of the documentary. You should watch it and see what your own thoughts are.

I spent $95.36 this morning, ordering our food for the week.  (We do the Fred Meyer Click program where we order our food online and pick it up from the store.) All of the items are produce. We ordered broccoli, carrots, apples, spinach, lemons, limes, beans, peas, bananas, bell peppers, olives, squash, zucchini, pears, oranges and some SPF face lotion since our Oregon winter is over and the sun is shining once again. We are going to the eat completely clean next week. All raw foods, all clean foods. I have fallen so far off the health wagon…I am desperate to reset my body and curve those silly sugar and bad food cravings. I have faith, by the end of next week, I will have more energy and feel so much better. It always amazes me how much better I feel, how clear my mind is, when we eat clean foods.

Have a wonderful day friends,
April

  1. Make sure you’re eating enough calories to feel satiated. Good luck! Don’t be a stranger if you need help or advice:)
